Dr. Howard Orel specializes in fiscal policy and management for Continuum Health Alliance (CHA), LLC, a leading provider of physician management services. As executive vice president, Dr. Orel blends his experience as a Board-certified physician since 1989 with his business acumen to develop corporate strategy initiatives for the organization as well as its clients.

As vice president of finance for Advocare, LLC, one of the region's largest independent healthcare providers, Dr. Orel oversees fiscal policy. He works closely with the company's chief financial officer to define organizational financial policies and develop corporate growth strategies. His physician's perspective coupled with his financial expertise is valuable to Advocare physicians, and gives Dr. Orel a unique ability to build relationships with both financial and healthcare services providers, including banks, insurance companies, and third party benefits administrators.

Dr. Orel's leadership in business and medicine reflect his dual degrees and lifelong commitment to "best practices" in practice management. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and its Wharton School of Business with bachelor degrees in behavioral biology and economics, respectively, Dr. Orel earned his doctor of medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1989. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics.

A Board-certified pediatrician since 1989, Dr. Orel was instrumental in the growth of Advocare Marlton Pediatrics, and maintains private practice there. He also practices pediatrics at Advocare Hammonton Pediatrics and Advocare Township Pediatrics. Areas of special clinical interest are childhood behavioral issues including school performance, ADHD, and adolescent care.

Dr. Orel is a member of the American College of Physician Executives and the American Medical Association. Locally, he is a member of New Jersey Physicians and the Medical Alumni Advisory Council of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and serves as a trustee of Southern New Jersey Jewish Family and Children's Services. He has previously served on the executive boards of Camp Ramah in the Poconos and The Voice, a publication serving southern New Jersey.
